Postponement of EPL matches due to Queen’s passing. The postponement of this weekend’s games has been announced by the Premier League as a “show of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
On Friday morning, this was revealed in an official announcement.
“We and our clubs would want to pay respect to Her Majesty’s long and steadfast service to our nation,” Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said.
She has been an inspiration and, after leading a dedicated life, leaves behind a remarkable legacy as our longest-serving queen.
“This is a really sad time for the country, but also for the millions of people who adored her throughout the world, and we join them in grieving her loss.”
We’ll publish more information on Premier League games throughout the period of grief when it becomes available.
