Alaafin Stool All Atiba descendants eligible to ascend throne – 9 lineage families

Alaafin Stool All Atiba descendants eligible to ascend throne – 9 lineage families.In Oyo, nine Atiba lineage families have argued that every family descended from Atiba has a claim to the Alaafin stool.

This information was revealed on Wednesday by the nine families.

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the Alaafin Abiodun Atiba, who had eleven offspring, founded the current Oyo town.

However, the Agunloye and Alowolodu lineages have alternated holding the post of Alaafin, which is currently vacant following the departure of the 45th Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

Oba Adeyemi, the deceased Alaafin, hails from the Alowolodu lineage.

It is the Agunloye family’s time to produce the next Alaafin, according to a statement made yesterday by the Bashorun of Oyo, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola Layinka. The announcement was signed by Bode Durojaye, Director of Media and Publicity to the Alaafin.

In contrast to Layinka’s claim, nine other families have stated that all of the eleven offspring of Atiba’s descendants have the title to the kingdom.

Prince Makanjuola Adediran (Adediran-Ese Apata), Prince Adebowale Adesiyan (Adesiyan), Prince Adediwura Lamola (Olanite), Prince Adetunji Adesokan (Adesokan Baba Idode), Princes Agboin Olayiwola (Adelabu Baba Ibadan), Prince Ademola Adesina Afo

The nine families also stated that Layinka’s remark did not accurately reflect the views of all Oyo Mesi members in the statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday.

This is because not all of the Oyo Mesi’s members signed the alleged declaration made by the Basorun of Oyo.

“That Prince Afolabi Adesina, of the Adeitan Royal Family, serves as our spokesman and has the authority to speak at any moment on behalf of all nine royal families, including the Olawoyin Royal Family;

“That Bode Durojaye’s comment is inaccurate and might spark a riot in public, especially among the Oyo people who value peace, because he is unfamiliar with historical data about the Oyo people and their way of life;

“That same Alaafin Atiba, who gave birth to Olujide Adelu Agunloye, also gave birth to male offspring named Agboin Adelabu, Adesiyan, Tella Agbojulogun, Olawoyin, Alowolodu, Olanite, Adeitan, Tella Okitipapa, Adediran Ese Apata, Adesokan Baba Idode, Iteade

The Oyo and Yoruba people as a whole are not idiots! The people of Oyo, in case Bode Durojaye is unaware, are quietly following the unfolding events and are profoundly and firmly aware that all nine of the surviving royal families, including Olawoyin within the Atiba lineage, have a rightful claim to the regal throne of Alaafin of Oyo.

“That the people are ready to rise up for justice in Oyo country because they are sick and tired of the fraudulent, conquering tactics, and the illegitimate manner the nine royal houses have been ignored.”
