Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed confidence in Chelsea’s potential to secure the Premier League title in the near future.
The last time the Blues claimed the trophy was in 2014 under the management of Antonio Conte. Despite a challenging previous season that saw Chelsea finish in 12th place, with managerial changes involving Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and ultimately Frank Lampard taking interim charge, Guardiola advocates for patience in allowing both the manager and players the time needed to achieve success.
“Every manager needs time. New club, new players, but sooner or later they will be contenders as the qualities in all the departments are there,” Guardiola stated during a Friday press conference.
