Don’t call me for actors who didn’t give me work – Shan George

Actress Shan George has issued a stern warning to her fellow industry professionals, urging them to refrain from including her in groups solely dedicated to the welfare of others.

Expressing her frustration in a video on her Instagram page, Shan George claimed that her colleagues seldom approach her with job opportunities but frequently involve her in financial contributions for the benefit of others.

The actress disclosed that she woke up on Thursday morning to discover herself included in 15 WhatsApp groups seeking funds for various colleagues. While admonishing her peers not to add her to such groups, Shan asserted that there is a lack of consideration for her own well-being or financial circumstances. She accused them of only reaching out to solicit donations on behalf of others, despite never seeking her out for work opportunities.

In her words, “You have never called me for work before, but whenever it’s time to make a contribution, you will form a WhatsApp group and put my name.”

Speaking in pidgin, she said

“You dey do work o, you dey pay people o, you no ever one day remember say oh make we call this woman, Shan George, make she even take part for this major movie or work or even if na waka pass, make I just see small garri drink for house with my children.

“With all due respect to whoever! Mbok No dey call me for contribution if you don’t call me for work.”
