Former Arsenal attacker, Kevin Campbell has given his verdict on Declan Rice and Thomas Partey as the Gunners return to the Champions League this season.
“The upcoming Champions League campaign for this season is set to kick off next week.
Arsenal has been placed in Group B for this season’s Champions League, along with Sevilla, PSV, and Lens.
On Wednesday, Mikel Arteta’s team will host PSV at Emirates Stadium.
However, Campbell is optimistic that both Rice and Partey will showcase their full potential in the Champions League this season if the Ghanaian international is fit to play for the Premier League giants.
“I firmly believe that Declan Rice is currently operating at only about 60-65% of his talent. I genuinely do,” Campbell stated on The Highbury Squad.
“But he is adapting to this system. It’s only been four games, and he has excelled in all four.
“I genuinely believe his potential is enormous. I’m being completely honest. When Thomas Partey is back in action, and you have those two as a midfield pair, then you’ll witness the best of these individuals in the Champions League.”
