Gbillah no threat to Gov. Ortom – Benue govt

Gbillah no threat to Gov. Ortom – Benue govt. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has dismissed Mark Gbillah, a member of the House of Representatives from the state’s Gwer/Gwer West Federal Constituency, as a “small fry” who cannot endanger the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, or the governor’s electoral victory in the upcoming elections in the state.

During a news conference in Abuja last week, Gbillah falsely claimed that Governor Ortom was obstructing him in preparation for the 2023 elections.

Through the release of an online magazine that was reportedly controlled by a governor’s assistant, he had said that Governor Ortom and his aides were the architects of his difficulties and conspiring with INEC to thwart his election triumph in 2023.

It has been noted how Hon. In order to continue participating in the nation’s political process, Gbillah left the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and is currently claiming to be a member of the Labour Party (LP).

Hon. X’s name has been made public by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Gbillah will run for national assembly in 2023 on the platforms of the NNPP and Labour Party.

Gbillah should release the wounds he put on himself due to his selfishness and contradictions and allow Governor Ortom out of his current position since he has demonstrated political immaturity via his acts.

Even against the will of the constituents in his district, this individual has been in the House of Representatives for eight years. Political figures in his local government disapproved of his attempt to run for a third term. He should quit seeking for someone to blame because it wasn’t Governor Ortom who turned him down.

“Gbillah started his nomadic search for electoral placement out of avarice, moving from the PDP to the NNPP, and now he claims to be the candidate of the LP. Why is he frantically searching for someone to blame while going from place to place?

“Governor Ortom did not initiate the publication of his name as a candidate for the 2023 national assembly election on two distinct political parties, as claimed by INEC. As a legislator, Gbillah ought to be aware that this constitutes election fraud and is thus against the law. No one can be duped by him. Let him suffer the results of his excessive ambition.

The people shouldn’t be influenced by the legislator who is drowning and whose constituents have turned on him. Additionally, let it be known to everybody that PDP in Benue is strong and will prevail in the next elections. No number of Gbillahs can pose a danger to the PDP.
