Gift Orban will be absent from the Super Eagles’ match against Sao Tome.

Gift Orban has been declared unfit to participate in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier versus Sao Tome and Principe.

Orban was absent from the squad’s final training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday evening.

The 21-year-old striker sustained an injury during a training session with the Super Eagles on Friday.

While his teammates battled it out on the field, Orban watched from the sidelines.

Unfortunately, Orban will have to wait for another opportunity to make his debut for the three-time African champions.

On a brighter note, other newcomers Victor Boniface and Jordan Torunarigha are poised to make their debut against the True Patriots.
