Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar recently made a public appearance after a prolonged period of battling an undisclosed illness that kept her away for nearly two years.

Stepping out during the ongoing Governorship election in Kogi State, the actress participated in her civic duty and shared photos and clips online. She expressed her gratitude for being back in her state, highlighting that it marked her first outing in two years.

In an online post, she conveyed her honor at being in Kogi state and participating in the election, emphasizing the significance of returning to her hometown for this historic event. She thanked God for her recovery, stating, “It was an honor, Kogi state. Nothing like home. Kogi state election. My first outing in 2 years. God showed up for me. Amb Halima Abubakar.”

It’s worth noting that Halima Abubakar had faced health challenges following her alleged relationship with controversial figure Apostle Suleman.
