Mikel Obi Urges Victor Osimhen to Swiftly Join Chelsea Football Club

Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has advised his compatriot, Victor Osimhen, to consider joining his former club. Osimhen had attracted interest from various top clubs in Europe, including Chelsea, during the summer transfer window.

While Napoli managed to retain him, recent events, including a TikTok video mocking Osimhen and stalled contract talks, suggest a potential departure next summer.

Mikel, who enjoyed a successful tenure at Stamford Bridge, winning multiple titles, expressed his endorsement for Osimhen to choose Chelsea as his next destination. In an interview on the Obionepodcast, Mikel praised Osimhen’s qualities, likening them to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and encouraging the 24-year-old striker to make the move to the Blues.

Osimhen, currently recovering from a hamstring injury, has netted six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
