PDP crisis Ex-chairman BoT, Jibrin forced out of office – Olaka

PDP crisis Ex-chairman BoT, Jibrin forced out of office – Olaka. Senator Olaka Nwogu, a well-known PDP member, said that Senator Walid Jibrin was forced out of his position as the party’s chairman of the BoT against his will in order to keep PDP Chairman Iyorcha Ayu in power.

On Friday, Senator Nwogu revealed this while participating in the Arise TV Morning Show program.

Recall that on Thursday, Jibrin announced his resignation at a PDP BoT meeting held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Adophous Wabara, the former Senate President, was chosen to take his position as the next BoT chairman in an effort to placate Governor Nyesom Wike’s camp, which was calling for equality in the party’s leadership structure.

Senator Olaka, on the other hand, has publicly said that Jibrin resigned against his will, claiming that pressure increased on him to give up the leadership of the BoT. “First of all, I thought it was awful that it came to the point where these people felt the need to pressure the BoT Chairman into resigning. This old man’s workplace was obviously unimportant and was not the problem.

However, he has being pursued in order to make it appear as though an office has finally arrived in the South.

He was essentially chased from the workplace. He had no option. To ensure that Ayu remains in the position, he was under constant pressure from all sides. It’s sad, he added.

Governor Wike of Rivers State and Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, are at the center of the political turmoil that the PDP has been experiencing since its presidential primary.
