The announcement of his passing was shared by music executive Ovie on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Mohbad was an emerging talent in the Nigerian music scene, celebrated for his distinctive fusion of pop, Afrobeat, and hip hop. His songwriting and lyrical prowess were also well-regarded.
In 2022, Mohbad unveiled his debut album, “Imole,” which achieved significant commercial success and produced several chart-topping hits such as “See My Benz,” “Kimi,” and “Ronaldo.”
