Some Individuals Believed I Purchased a Private Jet, but I Did Not; How Did I Fund It? -Pastor Adeboye
In response to the controversy surrounding the acquisition of the new Gulfstream aircraft, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, clarified that certain individuals believed he had purchased a jet. He emphasized that he had not bought any jets, asserting that God had provided it for him and questioned the source of the funds required for such a purchase.
Pastor Adeboye, speaking in a video shared by Divine Encounter, recounted a promise God had made to him in 1975, declaring that God would grant him three jets. At the time, he couldn’t comprehend the concept, as he had never even visited Ikeja and had no prior experience with airplanes. When the time came, and God provided him with a private jet, it elicited criticism from some quarters.
He elaborated, “Back in 1975, at a time when I had never set foot in Ikeja, when I had never even boarded a plane, God said to me, ‘My son, I will purchase three jets for you.’ I was baffled, not understanding what He meant. I didn’t even know individuals could own a jet. So, when the moment arrived, and He provided one, and some people reacted with dismay, I chose not to respond. People urged me to talk to them, to explain. However, I remained silent, as I couldn’t fathom why they were upset when I had one jet. What would they do when I had three? I share this to convey a message: someday, in the not-too-distant future, the Redeemed Christian Church of God will possess its own airport, where your jet will be parked. If you believe in this vision, shout ‘hallelujah.’ How will this come to pass? I don’t possess that knowledge. Some individuals thought I had personally bought a jet, but that’s not the case. I didn’t purchase it; God provided it for me.”
