On the evening of June 5, the captives were taken prisoner in the Furfuri hamlet of the Bungudu Local Government Area.

Twenty persons were seized, according to the villagers, at least half of whom were female.

Before security personnel stationed nearby could respond, the intruders hastily left the village.
