The announcement was relayed by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Bala Salisu-Zango, in a statement provided to journalists on Saturday in Katsina.
He clarified that the ban encompasses large religious and social gatherings, with the exception of obligatory prayers. However, for such gatherings during daylight hours, permission must be sought from the Police Divisional Officer within the respective local government area.
