On Monday, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced the adoption of the Computer-Based Test mode, replacing the traditional paper and pencil test model for the Senior School Certificate Examination.
The statement, signed by Moyosola Adesina, the acting head of the Public Affairs Unit of WAEC, and released on Monday, detailed the shift in examination format.
The innovation is set to commence with the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for private candidates in February 2024. The announcement emphasized that this change aligns with global best practices, as revealed in a statement from the Nigeria National Office of WAEC.
