“Tinubu Appoints New CEOs for Refugees Commission and Social Investment Agency – Politics – Nairaland”
President Bola Tinubu has given his approval to two recent appointments, as announced in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in Abuja on Thursday.
Tinubu has sanctioned the appointments of Mr. Aliyu Ahmed as the new Federal Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). Additionally, he has approved the appointment of Mrs. Delu Yakubu as the inaugural National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA).
These appointments are effective immediately.
Aliyu Ahmed holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Sociology and has previously held key positions in the Nasarawa State Government, including Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Commissioner of Education.
On the other hand, Delu Yakubu holds a Master’s Degree in Agronomy from the State University of Bio-Technology in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and boasts over 15 years of experience in Social Investment Programme management.
The President has charged the newly appointed officials with the responsibility of upholding the highest standards of efficiency, transparency, and quality service delivery at NSIPA, aligning with his commitment to realizing the Renewed Hope agenda.
It’s worth noting that the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA) (Establishment) Act, 2023, was officially signed into law on May 22.
