Big Brother Naija alum and disc jockey, Tolani Shobajo, popularly known as Tolanibaj, sparked online discussions as she revealed her perspective on feminism.
In an interview with nightlife influencer Yhemo Lee on the Bahd and Boujee podcast, co-hosted by Moet Abebe, Tolanibaj expressed her disagreement with the principles of feminism. She clarified her stance, emphasizing that she believes women should not be in competition with men.
Tolanibaj conveyed her view that women are not meant to compete with men, but rather, their role is to complement and enhance men. Due to these beliefs, she stated that she cannot identify as a feminist.
“I feel like women are not supposed to compete with men, they are just supposed to complement them. That’s why I can’t say I am a feminist because I don’t see how if a man is doing gra gra, as a woman I should be doing gra gra too”
