Yobe govt announces dates for school resumption. For the 2022–2023 academic year, the Yobe State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has authorized September 18 and 19 as resuming dates for students in all boarding and day secondary schools throughout the state.
This information is included in a circular that is signed by Bukar Modu, the director of schools management.
The announcement said, “RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS FOR THE FIRST TERM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION IN YOBE STATE,” and urged all parties involved in education, as well as parents and guardians of kids attending both public and private schools, to take note of the change.
“In accordance with the academic calendar for 2022–2023 schools, I have been instructed by the Commissioner of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, to write to and inform all parties involved in education, parents, and guardians that classes would resume for the state’s public and private schools’ first terms of the 2022–2023 academic session as follows:
“Sunday, September 18, 2022: Boarding schools around the State resume classes;
The circular said, “Monday, September 19, 2022: Resumption for All Day Students Throughout the State.”
Assuring that all of the students’ requirements for resumption have been met, the Basic and Secondary Education Ministry further advised parents and guardians to send their kids or wards back to school as scheduled.
The Zonal Coordinators must work together to monitor and guarantee adherence to the authorized dates.
